Educator Coaching

Guiding teachers and leaders to refine and enhance their work through reflective practice.
Honor provides coaching to educators across Texas and nationwide. Her coaching style has been greatly influenced by her experiences as a Critical Friends Group facilitator, a member of a Courage to Teach community, and a participant in the National Board for Professional Teaching certification process. She applies Cognitive Coaching and the Impact Cycle to support teachers and school leaders through a process of continual improvement.
Coaching begins with listening and observing, both essential to deeply understanding the context of the educator’s work and his or her goals. With Honor’s guidance, the educator not only works towards achieving those goals, but also learns reflective practices that can be applied for continued professional growth and development.
Honor is available for in-person and virtual coaching for K-12 teachers of all subjects and content areas. Instructional coaching typically includes goal-setting, co-planning, modeling, co-teaching, observation, and feedback.
She also supports campus and district leaders in their efforts to increase student learning. Leadership coaching focuses on strategic planning and change management for continual improvement in the areas of curriculum, instruction, and assessment. It often includes data analysis, classroom walkthroughs, observation debriefs, and co-planning of staff development.
